Universal Life Insurance:

December 31st, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

life cover is a policy that spreads over your life. That means that if you decease under natural circumstances, people that you’ve nominated to be your beneficiaries, will be paid an amount of money, which ordinarily adds up to a whole lot more than you’ll be able to afford to save for your family that would be left behind. There are two major different types of insurance policies. One such type is the long-run life insurance, which is called whole life insurance.

Whole life insurance (What is Whole Life Insurance )covers yourlong-term long-run long-term life and it generally have a built in sum of money that is invested on your behalf by the insurance underwriter. Although it may not offer the same cheaper insurance premium of shorter term insurance policies, this may be the best option for a young person or somebody that can afford to save a share. of their monthly dispensable income| profit.

The other major type of life insurance is the insurance that covers your life for just a specified period of time. Typically it may vary between 10 to 30 years but it can vary depending on the range of life insurance products (Whole Life Insurance Online Quote ) that the life insurance company underwrites. This is by and large known as term life insurance and it is usually more affordable than whole life insurance and while whole life insurance for your whole family may be too expensive, term life insurance may provide a more low-priced solution.

Once you have choose what type of life insurance would fit your life cover profile, you may want to contact a life insurance broker. You might find life insurance brokers online or at your local representative of the life insurance companies that function in your country.

Other than the difficult manner of communicating over the internet instead of talking to a life insurance broker in real life you may want to check up on online life insurance sites (No Exam Life Insurance ) that offers you a quick life insurance quote.

That covers the basic difference between whole life insurance and term life insurancewithout spending to much time on the matter.

Home-Based Business Owners Can Save Thousands on Their Taxes

December 30th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Do You Qualify For Home-Based Tax Deductions? Recent tax law changes have made it easier than ever to claim Home Office Deductions and keep more of what you earn.

If your home is a place of business, many of your personal expenses can be deducted as business expenses resulting in lower taxes. Using online tax preparation software can help you take all the deductions you deserve. To find which program is best for you, read an online tax software review and compare the features you need.

You may be thinking, “I have an Accountant/CPA/Tax Preparer who knows all about tax deductions so I don’t have to know anything about them.”

There are several reasons why that thinking could be costing you thousands of tax dollars. Some of those reasons are:

  1. Most Accountants/CPA’s/Tax Preparers do not “specialize” in Home-Based Businesses and do not keep up with the ever-changing laws pertaining to them.
  2. You are ultimately responsible for knowing what you can and cannot deduct as business expenses. Why? YOU are accountable to the IRS for your deductions, not the tax preparer.
  3. If you pay someone to do your taxes you still need to know what you can deduct so that you can gather all relevant paperwork.
  4. The most compelling reason: Getting the greatest benefit from your deductions. In a TurboTax review, it was found that most people saved an average of 15% when using a tax software program and their own research.

To qualify for these deductions you must meet 2 conditions, which most, if not all, Internet Marketers meet:

Condition 1: Do you work as an Internet marketer out of your home (on your “home computer)? To qualify for deducting expenses related to using a workspace for business in your home, your home must:

  • Be your “principal place of business ” or you must use the space only to earn your business income.
  • Be used by you on a regular and ongoing basis to meet your clients, customers, or patients.

AND

Condition 2: Are you in business to make a profit? Whether you made a profit or not is immaterial. Even if you lost money but intended to make a profit these deductions are still available to you.

If you answered yes to both of these questions then you do own a Home-Based Business and as such you are qualified to deduct Business Assets, Direct and Indirect Expenses.

Business Assets include business equipment such as computer, fax machines, business furniture such as desk (your dining room table for instance), desk chair and filing cabinets. These are 100% deductible if they are used “exclusively” for business purposes. A tax software program can help you find all the deductions you deserve using an interview process. In a H&R Block TaxCut review, it was revealed that people using tax software with an interview process could often find 20% more deductions than their own CPA or accountant. After all, you know your business best.

If these assets are not used “exclusively’ for business the amount you can deduct is proportionally related to how much these things are used in your business. It is possible to deduct a portion of your living room, sofa, DVD player etc if you meet certain conditions.

Direct Expenses are those directly related to conducting your business. This would include office supplies, telephone service,, cellular phones, ISP service, hosting, advertising etc. Direct expenses are generally 100% deductible.

Indirect Expenses include such things as rent on your home, utilities including heating and air conditioning and general repairs such as replacing a roof or repainting the exterior of your home.

These are authorized legal deductions passed into law specifically for Home-Based Businesses by Congress.

If you use your home for business purposes, many of your personal expenses can legally be converted into deductible business expenses including utilities such as heat and electricity, cleaning materials, house insurance and property taxes.

Learn all you can about what you can deduct, find a good tax software program, and you will consistently save thousands on your income tax each year.

Having trouble finding the right weight loss product?

December 30th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

I was having the same problem. With so many different claimed ways of losing this many pounds in so many days from so many sources it just began to be a blur. It seemed like I would never be able to make up my mind and choose the one that was right for me. Especially since they all seem to say lose weight fast or something to that affect!

I took a little time to do some research on the topic and found a review on some of the top ones on the market. There were like 10 of them to look at. But there was one that caught my eye because it spoke of not only having a diet that was proper for your body where you didn’t have to starve yourself! It also explained how you could rid yourself of toxins and parasites as well which many people don’t know they have in the first place.

As I read this review, I found out that the creator of this product is a female doctor who actually through testing found out that these parasites within us, can not only make you sick but can also make it difficult for people to succeed with there weight loss goals. It also said that the weight loss industry in general wasn’t happy with her releasing this because now people would actually know how to lose weight fast and to be able to regain there health and most of all keep it! So other diet products and services, like the ones that you buy expensive foods or diet pills etc., knew that once there customers found out about her secret. It was over for them and so was the millions that they rip off people for every year.

After checking out others I knew I had to give Dr. Suzanne’s a fair shot. I had bought the food before on another diet and it was just way to expensive for me. There is no food with hers which was perfect for me! Cheaper already I thought as I purchased her e-book. I’m so glad I did too, I just followed her directions to the letter and have lost 17 pounds so far as of this morning. I have about 9 or 10 more to go. When I lose that I’ll be in the best shape I’ve been in, in 7 years! So if your looking for a diet that works, here’s my advice. Find one for less than a hundred that has a money back guarantee like hers does and follow it to the letter!

Are Cheap Color Contact Lenses Worth Buying?

December 30th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Although they should not like the tone of it at first, cheap colored contacts lenses may very well be elegant to a big audience. As the name implies, cheap contacts don’t cost a lot of cash. While some types of contacts may be very costly, there are other brands that don’t cost a lot. When you compare them, there really is not that many differences.

Many contact lens users feel that the less expensive brands of contacts are reliable, dependable, comfortable, and above everything else - light on the wallet. Even though cheap lenses are looked highly upon by some - others don’t look at them in the same manner. Some feel that less expensive lenses should be avoided at all cost, for the fear that they may harm vision or not offer the same quality that the higher priced brands of contacts offer.

Those who do not wear contacts but have a liking for them, may find an inexpensive pair of contacts to be the ideal way to try them out. If you purchase a cheap pair of contacts it won’t cost you a lot of money, yet it will give you the satisfaction in knowing whether or not contacts are for you. Unlike glasses, contact lenses won’t break or hang off your face. Contacts are an ideal choice for many, for the simple fact that they feel natural - almost like a pair of eyes that you never knew you had.

A thought to keep in mind, is the fact that cheap color contacts aren’t the highest of quality. As the name suggests, these types of lens are cheap in price - and also quality. Usually, they are the way to go for individuals who can’t afford the quality brands. Even though the quality isn’t the best in the world, those who wear cheap contacts usually don’t have any complaints.

Alternatively some people will view cheap non prescription color contacts as the ideal purchase, others will view them as a waste of money. This is all about preference, and what you desire is the best for you. If you have the cash to spare, you would be better off getting a pair of brand name contacts. However, if you are on a limited budget, cheap contact lenses would do you good - at least until you get the money to purchase one of the better brands.

Cheap contacts can be located online, or at your local optician’s office. They won’t set you back a lot of money, yet they will provide you the vision you require. Contacts are a true alternative to glasses, especially for those who require glasses but hate to wear them. Contact lenses are what they are - the best way to obtain the vision you need without wearing glasses. Cheap contacts are an ideal solution to glasses - at a price anyone can afford.

Education in the 21st Century

December 28th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

The 21st century education concept might be an abstract and ingenious idea even today. Even when the wonders of technology continue to be a great resource, the perception of most people is still based on the thinking process of the last century.

The concept of 21st century education tries to change the olden perspective. One might ask why building wealth is a 21st century perspective.

The jargon denotes a lot of things. First, the 21st century represents a trend and a future. This kind of education endures at a time where wealth creation through the latest technology exploits, and finance with its ever increasing capital mobility is possible. As a consequence, this idea will continue to be relevant and critical for people willing to find the best economic standing today. The 21st century talks about a different perspective in which anyone who sees the trend can identify with.

The aim of 21st century education is to ask people why we think the same way for two centuries. It hopes to promote a new way of looking at a healthy financial lifestyle using today’s practices.

The key to this kind of education is to leave classic education behind or to modify it to be at par with the ever changing times. It does not only question how we learn but also why we need to study what we study.

21st century education talks about catching up with a changed perspective. It all starts with opening our minds and being flexible with all the ideas a 21st century education feeds. There are some ideas that we might not agree on, but then we can contribute to the trend all the same. Learning the ropes of today’s world starts with finding way to think creatively in a very creative world, and getting your ideas out in a world that breathes on global fad.

Blu-ray

December 28th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Blu-ray, also known as Blu-ray Disc (BD), is the name of a next-generation optical disc format jointly developed by the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA), a group of the world’s leading consumer electronics, personal computer and media manufacturers (including Apple, Dell, Hitachi, HP, JVC, LG, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Pioneer, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, TDK and Thomson). The format was developed to enable recording, rewriting and playback of high-definition video (HD), as well as storing large amounts of data.

The format offers more than five times the storage capacity of traditional DVDs and can hold up to 25GB on a single-layer disc and 50GB on a dual-layer disc. This extra capacity combined with the use of advanced video and audio codecs will offer consumers an unprecedented HD experience. Recent development by Pioneer has pushed the storage capacity to 500GB on a single disc by using 20 layers.

While current optical disc technologies such as DVD, DVDR, DVDRW, and DVDRAM rely on a red laser to read and write data, the new format uses a blue-violet laser instead, hence the name Blu-ray. Despite the different type of lasers used, Blu-ray products can easily be made backwards compatible with CDs and DVDs through the use of a BD/DVD/CD compatible optical pickup unit.

The benefit of using a blue-violet laser (405nm) is that it has a shorter wavelength than a red laser (650nm), which makes it possible to focus the laser spot with even greater precision. This allows data to be packed more tightly and stored in less space, so it’s possible to fit more data on the disc even though it’s the same size as a CD/DVD. This together with the change of numerical aperture to 0.85 is what enables Blu-ray Discs to hold 25GB/50GB.

Blu-ray is currently supported by about 200 of the world’s leading consumer electronics, personal computer, recording media, video game and music companies. The format also has support from all Hollywood studios and countless smaller studios as a successor to today’s DVD format. Many studios have also announced that they will begin releasing new feature films on Blu-ray Disc day-and-date with DVD, as well as a continuous slate of catalog titles every month. For more information about Blu-ray movies, check out our Blu-ray movies and Blu-ray reviews section which offers information about new and upcoming Blu-ray releases, as well as what movies are currently available in the Blu-ray format.

The commerical application on mass blu-ray disc duplication is Blu-ray Duplicator or BD duplicator For more information about Blu-ray duplicators, please see Blu-ray FAQ.

Cutting your Trade Show Exhibit Cost

December 28th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Many trade show exhibitors are searching out various ways of cutting their exhibit cost. They feel that they have to attend the trade show after they are very lucrative to most exhibitors. Some companies attend Conventions to show their new product and or market their company service. It’s still the best way to get your product or service in front of a large crown of potential buyers. The drawback is that trade shows are very costly. In that said I would like to point out some cost cutting ideas.

1- In choosing your booth location never get more real estate that you can handle, some exhibitors get the same to give the impression that they are a larger company than what they are. Only purchase booth space that you feel would demonstrate your product or service. If your booth space is large remember you have to fill that area with enough exhibit components more restate means more exhibit components and more components mean more cost on shipping and drayage.

2- When designing or choosing a design for your trade show booth location choose a design that reflects your company images…this is very important, first impressions are lasting. In an effort to keep your budget down make sure that your booth is built with the lightest material needed to properly display your product or image. A great deal of exhibitors are now using stretched fabric structures, light weight panel systems or aluminum frame , the reason for this is to keep their drayage cost down. Drayage: is the cost that is charged by the convention contactor to move your booth properties in and out of the convention hall. Many exhibitors forget to budget for this, make sure to budget for this, some conventions drayage cost are extremely high.

3- Another advantage of having your trade show booth well built out of light weight material is the ease of setting up. This cost can also be very high depending on the convention in which you attend , the faster your booth get set up the lower your overall cost , If one man can handle a component instead of two or three surely you would cut your exhibit set up cost.

Choosing the Best Hosting Provider for Your Site

December 27th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

It is extremely difficult to pick a hosting provider when there are so many out there to choose from. One of the most important starting points is having a good idea on what you want to accomplish with your website.

You need to remember that free hosting providers pay for the service through running advertisements on your site. If you therefore want to have a professional website you will probably not want to make use of a free hosting service provider since those ads will not contribute to a professional image for your site.

Another thought to take into consideration is how much traffic you are expecting to have. Free hosting providers will not offer a lot of bandwidth at all, which will slow down the loading time of your site, especially if you have a site with a lot of images and information.

Free web hosting providers limit you to the number of email accounts that you can have. If you pay for hosting services, you will be able to set up a number of email accounts with your hosting service.

One of the most important aspects of paid hosting is the fact that you will be able to get support for your hosting. You do want to know that you can call on your hosting provider to assist you with anything from the uploading of files to setting up of emails. With this kind of hosting provider you can also choose from different packages relating to amounts of bandwidth. Most of the time, should you be exceeding your bandwidth package you can even look into an upgrade.

There are many hosting providers offering different packages. You can portray your site in a professional and efficient manner if you find the right one. There are many different kinds of pricings and after some research you will undoubtedly stumble upon one that will fit into your budget.

The Rules of Social Media

December 25th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Social media has a set of rules and they’re pretty simple.  Here’s a plan for you how I visualize this process so hopefully you can successfully put it into play for your own desires.

Social media is like a big worldwide party.  The most important factor is the ability for back and forth interaction, for two-way communication. Tools like Google Friend Connect make this all the more easy.

It’s not just one-way communication like you see in normal advertising channels on TV and radio stations.  For this reason is why most of the big companies screw this up when they attempt a social media campaign and it elicits a great wave of negative backlash.

At a social gathering do you immediately just walk up to people and start saying “hey buy my stuff” or “hey join my MLM business”.

If you’re that guy you’ll quickly be avoided like the plague and noone will talk to you.  Then I doubt you get invited to any more parties in the future and the ones you do are low class which no one wants to be at anyway.

What you most likely do when you go to a party is start some friendly conversations and then start a back-and-forth exchange.

You may ask what kind of work the person you’re talking to does and they may respond in kind and then you can start talking about philosophy or politics or other topics of mutual interest.

Even when you’re talking about your job though the prospect of sales almost never comes up because when people are in a party they don’t want to be sold something.

So why then is this basically what people do online?

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten a random e-mail on Facebook or MySpace saying “hey check out my site” or “hey buy this”.

I know why you continue to see it because programs can be built which make this kind of thing profitable.

My friend was telling me a story of a guy who basically spammed MySpace walls selling ring tones and made $250,000 inside of six months.

Of course, the police have been circling his house and he’s under constant fear of being taken in.  But this is how these things continue to perpetuate on the Internet.

Basically, the biggest thing is to interact on the social sites the way you would at a party in an off-line situation.

Send them an initial e-mail saying hi and asking about something you saw on their profile and see if they respond in kind.  Only after a decent exchange of a week or two then you can say “hey if you want to learn more about me check out my blog here”.

Your blog gives them insight into you and your business at their discretion.  And they can refer you to people they know would be interested and want to buy your stuff.

Either way your blog is your lively business card where you can tell your friends about yourself and what you do.

Do as these rules instruct and you’ll have a strong presence in social media.

Disobey these rules and bad things happen to you.

Bedding makes your home warm and inviting

December 25th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

New bedding will not change the world.  But it may very well change your sense of happiness when you’re in your home. After all your home should be as comfortable and cozy for everyone in the family as you can make it.  A new fresh set of bed linen on the bed whether it’s Egyptian cotton, sateen or just regular cotton may help you feel more rested, calm and ready to take on your day.

A properly selected pillow will help you wake up feeling good and energetic as well, no matter if you prefer a feather and down pillow or the temper pedic ones, as long as they align your neck and spine correctly, they’re doing their job. Any well-made comforters of quality materials that keep you warm but don’t suffocate you and let the moisture escape from around your body while you’re sleeping are undoubtedly a good investment in your personal well-being.

Your baby absolutely deserves and needs safe, soft, cozy and snuggly bedding against their skin. And if you want to decorate their nursery with some really cute, innovative baby bedding then there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that — it can actually really be fun. Have a couple extra blankets on hand when you’re out on the go with them and want to keep them a bit warmer. Whether its a fleece or cotton blanket, it will provide your baby with a safe warm feeling.  Your older children only want to have fun. They need lots of it and a bedroom that features colorful kids bedding characters that they love — whether they’re puppies or truck or trains, your kids will absolutely have a blast spending time playing and dreaming in that wonderful bedroom fantasy land you’ve created for them.  No, bedding really doesn’t change the world, but it may just make you feel more comfortable in it.

A Survival’s Guide to Debt Cancellation

December 23rd, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

What is debt cancellation? Debt cancellation is the pathway of getting your outstanding debts under control and then avoiding getting into debt in the future. If you are in debt right now then you should know that it is really going to destroy your future, in several ways.

For one your credit rating is going to be ruined, and it is very hard and time consuming to get your credit back to a decent score. Of course the best method is to never get into debt in the first place, but since this is basically unavoidable in some cases, the important issue here in this moment is how to get out of debt.

Budget

One of the most important things that people need to be doing with their financial resources is to have a budget. Otherwise you are simply bringing money in and sending it out, without any idea where your financial resources are going and clueless to how much better it could be being used.

Most people do not realize that they are somehow putting more money out towards bills and other causes then they are bringing in, and although you may wonder how this can be, there are actually many forms, credit cards being one of the most common.

Nine out of ten persons have at least one credit card, and most of these people are at least a few hundred dollars in debt with their card.

Pay Off Your Bills

This is just a given, and not a choice. You have to pay off your bills if you want to have complete debt cancellation, and you need to prioritize your bills before you start paying anything off. Credit cards need to be first, because they will affect your credit status most negatively and because they have high interest rates which you are going to end up having to pay off anyway.

You need to make sure that your housing bills are under control next, including your food, rent, hydro, pets, telephone and cable bills.

If you need help with debt cancellation, remember that there are many people and resources available that will be able to help you out here with the debt elimination.

It doesn’t matter how deep in the debt problem you are right now, complete debt elimination is possible, although it is going to take some time, effort and patience on your part. By following these tips and helpful advice in mind you will have the best chances of not only getting out of the debt you are in now but staying out of debt forever.

Help for Interstitial Cystitis

December 22nd, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Interstitial cystitis (IC) is a chronic bladder inflammation. It is often severe and very disruptive. Of the over 700,000 people suffering from IC, almost 90% are female.

Symptoms of interstitial cystitis are infamously variable and can be radically different from one person to another, or even just for one person from day to day. Individuals suffering with IC often experience an frequent and urgent need to urinate. They may experience recurring discomfort, tenderness, pressure, or intense pain in the bladder and surrounding pelvic area.

Specific foods seem to trigger symptoms. The most common foods mentioned tend to be vinegar, tomatoes, spicy foods, coffee, chocolate, and alcohol.

IC is generally diagnosed after other conditions with similar symptoms have been excluded with certainty.

The true cause of IC is unknown. Although the symptoms resemble a bladder infection, IC does not appear to be caused by bacteria. One theory suggests that IC is caused by an infectious agent that has not yet been detected. Another theory holds that IC is some kind of an autoimmune reaction. And then still another theory is that it is related to allergies. Because it varies so much in different people, interstitial cystitis may not be one disease but several diseases.

A variety of treatments are often tried alone or in combination before one is found that works. Oral antihistamines such as hydroxyzine and certirizine may provide relief, and the drowsiness they produce often wears off over time. Other medications used for IC include pyridium and anti-inflammatory drugs. In some cases, medications such as dimethyl sulfoxide and heparin may be introduced into the bladder with a catheter. Actual surgical alteration of the bladder is rarely used to treat IC.

Quercetin is a common natural remedy utilized for the treatment of IC. Quercetin is a bioflavonoid that may have anti-inflammatory properties. A small double-blind placebo-controlled trial found that a supplement containing quercetin reduced symptoms of interstitial cystitis.

However, you should research quercetin side-effects before proceeding with this therapy. In particular, individuals suffering from acid reflux or GERD may want to avoid quercetin. It wouldn’t be wise to risk further problems along the digestive tract while trying to treat your IC.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a doctor so you should consult with your medical doctor before taking any medical advice from the Internet.

Why Every Local Business in Calpe MUST Have A Website

Do you own a local Calpe business? If you do, then your business absolutely must have a website if you’re hoping to remain competitive in your marketplace. Web design in Calpe know that mMany business owners don’t realize this. They think, “sure, if you’re doing business online like Amazon or eBay then obviously you need a website. But I’m not selling my products or services online, just locally, so I don’t have any need for a website design in calpe.” That sounds sensible at first glance, but they couldn’t be more wrong.

Because times have changed, and the way people get information has changed, too. Radically.

Ten years ago, a local company who offered web design in calpe could get by without a website. Back then, the Internet was new, and not every family had a computer hooked up to the worldwide web. And, for many of those people who were online, the Internet was sort of exotic – it was something of a hobby. They would spend their online time in chat rooms talking to new friends all over the world, or looking for Beanie Babies on eBay, or downloading the latest cool game.

Businesses in Calpe these days should be going all out for lead generation. The current economic climate here in Spain means there is just no other way to run a business at the moment. Make sure your website has a lead capture page and that all leads are collected and marketed to effectively.

Wood Pellet Fireplaces are Taking Over the Traditional Wood Burning Fireplaces

December 21st, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

While stone fireplaces aren’t cheap, installing a central heating system can be almost twice as expensive and doesn’t enhance your home decor like a fireplace.

Appealing outdoor fireplaces are today available at affordable prices, are portable and are also easy to use. In the presence of an outdoor fireplace family and friendly gatherings will also be much more fun due to the right amount of warmth that it will bring to your backyard, patio and pool area.

Manufactured fireplaces are designed for new construction only and are perfect for new home jobsites and remodel projects. Accessories and venting are available for all fireplaces, installation services are also available or save money and do it yourself.

Since they do not require a flue, chimney, or external venting ducts, ventless fireplaces are much less expensive to install compared to traditional gas or wood fireplaces. Ventless gas fireplaces or heaters use natural gas or propane as fuel and burns the gas with air from the room.

Ventless, vent free or unvented fireplaces are designed to expel combustion gasses and moisture directly back into the room. Ventless fireplaces are also popping up in unique settings like between floor to ceiling columns and as focal points for home theatres and entertainment areas.

Gas logs and gas log fireplaces are a plastic experience, just not the real thing. Humankind has evolved with real wood fire, and the quality of light rays and heat radiated from a wood fire cannot be imitated by a controlled gas flame piped in from who knows where. If you insist, some fireplaces are environmentally friendly, with clean-burning gel that does not leave any messy soot, smoke or ashes behind.

While they produce some radiant heat, most wood burning fireplaces are primarily decorative. Even heat circulating models still pull a tremendous amount of air from the home. In addition, keep your fireplace damper closed unless a fireplace is going. Keeping the damper open is like keeping a 48 inch window wide open during the winter as it allows warm air to go right up the chimney.

To clean a fireplace that does not get a lot of use, you probably will not have to do much more than scrub it gently. Use a brush that has stiff bristles, but avoid a wire brush as it may cause damage.

If you have an older fireplace strongly consider installing a fireplace insert. Fireplace inserts are additives that help to burn wood, natural gas, and wood pellets, and will transform your current fireplace from an energy liability into an energy asset for your home. You can then have the warmth and romance of a fireplace whenever you want.

You can change types of fireplaces and find your favorite look. A fireplace that is too huge steals attention from other center pieces such as the sofa set or a large painting in the living room. What you want is a nice cozy corner.

Which Are The Best Article Directories With The Most Exposure?

December 21st, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

If you know anything at all about marketing online then you will no doubt have heard about article directories.

There are hundreds of these all over the internet, but that doesn’t mean it is worth submitting to all of them. If you get to know what the best article submission sites are and you submit your articles to them regularly, you can expect to get a lot of exposure and a potentially huge number of people reading your articles and clicking on your link to visit your website too.

So which sites should you be going to? Here are the top three:

Ezine Articles
This is a huge article directory and it is easily known as being the best one of the lot. At the time of writing it has over one hundred and twenty thousand authors who have realized its benefits, and that number is set to keep rising.

There are plenty of reasons why you should submit your articles to this site, but the main one is definitely that Google loves it with a passion. If you look up almost any subject on that search engine, the chances are very high that you will find at least one article from Ezine Articles ranking somewhere on the first page.

There are also plenty of good categories to post your articles in, and you will find the member’s dashboard is full of information and very easy to use as well.

Buzzle
Despite the rather strange name this site is a definite hit with anyone wanting to increase the traffic to their website.

It looks a lot more polished than a lot of article directories, and each author gets their own profile page which they can fill out with some information about themselves. This page also contains an author widget which should encourage some of your ardent readers to tell everyone about you on their web page!

And you can of course also link through to your website, to get that much needed traffic you are after. You can do this from your profile and also from the end of each article you write.

As with Ezine Articles there are plenty of categories to post your content to, and the process is made as easy as possible. This should definitely be on your ‘to do’ list to join if you are not already a member.

Search Warp
This site promotes itself as a writer’s community, and it certainly is. But don’t let that fool you into thinking that you won’t get plenty of exposure and traffic from posting your articles here.

The author’s dashboard is a great place to start, with lots of data and information on all the articles you submit. Not only can you see how much traffic each article is getting, you will also see whether each piece is getting search engine referrals. You can also generate a fan club at Search Warp, so if people like what you are writing about, you could benefit in more than one way.

Area219.com
This site calls itself a content directory, and takes article submissions on almost any topic. One of the advantages of using Area219.com is that they allow you to insert your Adsense publisher ID into your profile and then shares the ad impressions on your article pages with you 50/50.

The site is fairly new but will undoubtedly grow exponentially once people start seeing the benefit of sharing the Adsense revenue with the directory.

These are some the top article directories online today, so make sure you are a part of all of them.

A Roll of Dollar Coins Might Contain Treasure

December 21st, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Collecting dollar coins rolls is a growing hobby today. Many avid collectors feel they are able to hold a true piece of history when they locate a rare coin. Collecting rolls of dollar coins is an open and completely accessible activity. Collectors today have the option of purchasing their favorite dollar coin rolls. This may be the best option for your collection. Coin roll hunting is known by the acronym of “CRH.”

Many consumers are shocked to see the number of relatively early coins that pass through their hands on a daily basis. It’s not too uncommon to go to the grocery store or a restaurant and find you have been given such items as:

* Wheat pennies

* Steel World War II Pennies

* Foreign coin currency

* Gold dollar coins

Many collectors start huge collections just by reserving general pieces from their pocket change. A collection can grow quickly over just a short amount of time. The Internet allows many coin collectors to have more information at their fingertips than ever before. It also provides means to shop for coin rolls from all around the world.

This has opened a wealth of possibilities for the coin collector. You aren’t limited to books to find the value of your coins any longer. Websites and organizations all over the world feature information for the majority of collectors’ concerns. You can quickly find how best to properly clean your coins and where to locate appraisers. Many sites offer secure resources and assistance in selling your collection. Many stores carry books and materials solely for the needs of coin collectors.

A popular option available to every collector is the purchase of a roll of dollar coins. These coins are available at many places as pristine coins that have never been circulated. The Sacagawea Dollar is estimated to be the most popular coin for purchase in these quantities.

Other popular variations of the dollar coin include the Morgan Silver Dollar. A popular coin from the 1920s is the Peace Silver Dollar. The Susan B. Anthony was introduced in more recent times. This coin failed to achieve popularity due to its similarity to our regular quarter.

Serious collectors most often purchase dollar coin rolls from their financial institutions or from other expert collectors. Some flea markets and regional outlets allow shop owners to set up for a weekend. These are excellent for locating local coin collectors who may be interested in selling or even trading. You should always check credentials when making a major purchase with any dealer or collector. There are numerous associations that regulate the industry.

Many collectors often find themselves online when they start searching for a roll of dollar coins or any other coins for their collection. This can be a quick and easy process that offers far more success than spending days shopping around your area. The Internet features many stores and specialty markets just for coin collecting.

When you begin searching through online dealers for rolls of dollar coins, you should always check their credibility. Search their company name online. Are there any warnings or complaints? Try the Better Business Bureau to see if they have a professional reputation. The dealer should also offer certificates of authenticity for their higher end coinage.

You can ensure your investments are protected by performing some research before purchasing. This will protect your assets and ensure your money is well spent on a good product. Without a doubt, with a little luck and a committed search effort, Your dollar coin roll collection can yeild treasure.

Best Wedding Speech for the Best Man and Others

December 20th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Wedding speeches are often expected to be memorable, entertaining, individual, and much more - a task that can’t always be accomplished by the most experienced of speakers amongst us. Giving a speech to a large group of people is often a daunting experience, no matter the occasion.

In order to give that best wedding speech, it will be great to learn how to use emotion in the speech to the best effect, quell those nerves and to cope with stage-fright. It isn’t always easy to find the right words when giving a speech or making a toast to the bride and groom.

When you’re the best man, the responsibilities are often even bigger. It isn’t just the speech that’s the daunting prospect - its coming up with those essential personal, witty, poignant, and one-liners that makes the best man wedding speech memorable for the right reasons.

The maid of honor is often expected to take on a myriad of responsibilities and pre-wedding jobs that lead up to the big day. One of those of course is giving the maid of honor speech, with words that are touching, witty, personal and hopefully fun.

Aside from orchestrating the wedding and reception details, it’s also the responsibility of the father of the brider to make a wedding speech that’s meaningful, witty, warm and funny - that can be a big ask.

Often a speech is brief but still terrifying prospect. For the best man and the bride and groom to the father of the bride its important to master those nerves to make a real impact. So with some guidance, anyone can speak with confidence, and poise that the wedding guests will respond with admiration.

15+ Really Sweet iPhone Tips

December 19th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

When I spend about half a grand on a cell phone, I’m thinking . . . “i want to get my money’s worth!”

That’s how I feel, anyway — which is why I made it my business to put my new iPhone through the paces from jump street by scouring the web’s most serious iPhone resources for the most useful power tips/ tricks available. The result is this collection of 16 iPhone power tips that will help you get even more enjoyment out of your new favorite toy! Some of these, granted, you’ll need to Google to get the current URL. But, if you want, you can just click the link for the complete article with photos and videos.

1. Unstick a Stuck Slider: if you’re iPhone’s slider ever gets stuck — as in, it simply refuses to do anything when you try to slide it, usually because you want to make the iPhone up to use it — here is a fix from iPhone Atlas (www.iphoneatlas.com): press the Home button once before attempting to move the slider for the first time.

2. Make Skype calls: Up-front disclaimer: We’re not talking about free, voice-over-IP (VOiP) Skype calls here. We’re talking about making SkypeOut calls, which are not free but can drastically reduce the cost of making international calls on your iPhone. Matter of fact, SoonR lets you access Apple Mail files, mailboxes, and contacts. It also lets you grab documents from your Mac for viewing on iPhone, including PowerPoint presentations and all that kinda’ good stuff.

3. Know Where to Go for the 411: Lucky for you, the world has gone iPhone crazy. That means there a lot of excellent sources of info on the latest iPhone developments out there on the web. Bad news: there’s a lot of crap, also. Here’s a short list of our favorite iPhone info sites:

- modmyiPhone.com
- iPhoneFreak.com
- iPhoneAlley.com
- The Unofficial Apple Weblog’s iPhone page
- Gizmodo’s iPhone coverage
- iPhoneAtlas.com

While you’re checking these sites, keep in mind that some sites you might already be visiting on a regular basis have really done a super job of becoming iPhone-friendly, including Digg.com, Amazon.com, FaceBook.com, and Netvibes.com!

4. Play Great Games: You know what Jack says about all work and no play! Not that the web surfing you’re doing on your iPhone is all work-related, yeah right? Games — most of which are free — are starting to pop up for the iPhone, and we’re sure there will be more where those came from. For now, you can just launch the Safari browser when your iPhone and visit these hot game sites:

- MacMost’s collection of iPhone games, including classics like solitaire and minesweeper (free, MacMost iPhone Games).

- mynuMo has 4 iPhone games, including iWhack — a whack-a-mole knockoff where the mole’s replaced by a headshot of Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer — and Blackjack (also free, myNuMo iPhone Games).

- iGiki’s games, which include Hangman and Canyon Crawl — aren’t free, but then, they’re only a buck a pop and might be just what you need when you get tired of the freebies (99 cents per game pack for 99 days, iGiki Games).

- PopCap’s Bejeweled, (free, PopCap Bejeweled).

5. Beat a Shortcut to your Fave iPhone Apps: Handy iPhone apps, like Leaflets (free, Get Leaflets) and Applists (free, Get Applists) put most iPhone apps your fingertips, but if you want to build your own list, just collect the apps you tend to use the most into the same bookmarks folder in Safari on your computer. Then, the next time you sync your iPhone, using iTunes, be sure to check “Sync Safari Bookmarks” on the info tab, under Web browser.

6. Rehang the Wallpaper: If you’re up for a bit of iPhone hacking, you can take any image you find anywhere on the web and turn it into a custom wallpaper.

But there is a much easier way: Download a 320×480 pixel image for free from a variety of online sources, saving them all in the same folder on your Mac. In iTunes, with your iPhone docked, select your iPhone, click the Photos tab, select the radio button next to “Sync Photos From…,” then from the drop-down list, select “Choose Folder…”

Next, browse to the folder you just created, then click “Apply” in the lower-right hand corner. Finally, on your iPhone, go to Settings, Wallpaper, Photo Library to hang your new wallpaper!

7. Take Self-Portraits Because the iPhone camera shutter’s button is a “soft” (i.e., onscreen) button, it’s a bit tricky to take self-portraits with it since you have to turn the phone around so you can no longer see the button. Here’s the solution: with the camera feature selected, place your finger on the camera icon and turn the phone around so you’re facing the lens. Then, smile pretty and let go of the shutter button! You’ll hear the telltale “click” — and, you’ve just taken a self-portrait!

8. Reveal Secret Features: When Apple released the first firmware update for the iPhone on August 1, 2007, it did so with little fanfare, and attributed most of the updates to “security fixes.” The Wall Street Journal’s Walt Mossberg discovered a few new non-security-related features on his side phone after the update including:

- Greater capacity in the iPhone module’s Favorites list (used to be 20, is now 50).
- Ability to automatically blind carbon copy (BCC) yourself on all e-mails sent, where previously, your only option was to CC yourself, which alerted your recipients what you were up to…
- Compatibility with some car adapters and external speakers, originally created for the iPod. For more iPhone and tech tidbits, visit Walt’s blog.

9. Just Ditch the Camera Altogether: On the other hand, if you know you’ll never use the iPhone’s camera, you can just remove it altogether. (If you work for or with certain government agencies, you’re iPhone may actually be considered “contraband” on their property because they don’t want you taking secret photos of Bigfoot, Elvis, or (believe it or not) alien spaceships!

10. Get the Official Mod Tool: If you’ve already had to send your iPhone back to Apple for warranty repair or replacement, you may have already discovered something different about the replacement iPhone. First off, it comes in a much thinner box. Second, it comes complete with the “official iPhone SIM card removal tool”: a paperclip! Yup, Apple actually supplies a paperclip with all replacement iPhones, along with instructions for using it to open the SIM card slot and insert your card!

11. Buy Spare Parts: If you’re the type who simply can’t resist trying to take your iPhone apart, here’s where to go to find replacement parts when you go too far: iPhone Parts. Sources of mine told me that Apple charges $300 for a replacement screen, but you can get one from iFixIt for only $199.95.

12. Kill that Annoying GSM Buzz: If you hear a buzzing sound, while using an iPhone cassette adapter in your car stereo, such as Monsters iCarPlay — which claims to be iPhone-compatible (but doesn’t appear anywhere on Monster’s website) — Gizmodo offers a low-tech solution: aluminum foil… Yup, just take a little bit of Reynolds Wrap and wrap it around the cable closest to your iPhone. Doing so eliminates the need to switch to “Airplane mode,” which would be a viable solution if it didn’t send your incoming calls to voicemail!

13. Find Wi-Fi Hotspots in Your Neighborhood: JiWire makes it easy to find the nearest hotspot when your iPhone — so you can rescue yourself from the slow-moving hell that is AT&T’s EDGE data service. Surf on over to iphone.jiwire.com on your iPhone and fill in your location. If you’re a cheapskate (like me), check the box for “Search Free Hotspots Only.”

14. More Wi-Fi Performance Enhancements: Apple has a potentially useful collection of WiFi related iPhone tips in a regularly-updated knowledgebase article on its website. Suggestions include fixing problems like paid WiFi connections that drop off suddenly, weak WiFi signals, and WiFi connections that revert to EDGE due to issues with WEP passwords, or problems with Mac address filtering.

15. “Hack” Your iPhone!: Disclaimer: this tip isn’t for everybody. Some of these “hacks” (i.e., self-made modifications to the iPhone’s default behavior) are intended for people who have experience changing the way their computers behave by accessing the underlying code governing such behavior. You’ve been warned.

- For Macs: iFuntastic and Installer.app.
- For Windows: Installer.app or iBrickr.

Once you’ve installed one of the above helper apps, you can try an ever-expanding array of iPhone mods. With iFuntastic, for example, you can add your own custom ringtones, rearrange the Home screen, and change the AT&T logo. Installer.app goes even further, letting you install and play Nintendo games that feature tactile feedback! The good folks at Gizmodo.com make it easy for Mac users to take advantage of this newfound power over their iPhones with a handy tutorial (visit their site and search for install apps iPhone).

Windows users can also use a helper app called iBricker to modify their iPhone, install custom ringtones, and install third-party apps. But, if all you care about is adding custom ringtones, you might want to try Efiko’s iPhoneRingToneMaker ($10).

16. Just Don’t Be a Sucker!: While searching for the latest iPhone apps, you could run across some websites that’ll offer you instant access to hundreds of the latest apps — all for one-time membership fee of $49.95. These sites include, but are not limited to, www.iphonenova.com, www.iphonecyclone.com, and www.iphonedownloadpro.com. Problem here, is that these sites (IMHO) are scams.

I ponied up $50 for membership to iPhoneNova, for example, which claims to be the “World’s First iPhone Download Service.” Guess what it really is? It’s a BitTorrent-like site for downloading illegal content you can view on your iPhone or iPod.

But, your $50 membership only gets you a BitTorrent client called Tomato Torrent and links for you to download two more already-free apps that help you convert existing videos and ripped DVD content to be viewed on your iPod/ iPhone. You also get links to a mere five (5) web-based iPhone games and a huge, poorly-organized list of illegal movie downloads like “The Simpsons” and “Transformers.” Nuff said; as Napoleon Dynamite would say, “…What a Rip-off”!

Accesories For Golf

December 19th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

You need right golf accessories to play well. Here is a quick check list of some common must have golf accessories. If you don’t have any of them yet, then you should put them right on top of you Christmas shopping list before you go for your golf vacation.

For rookies who keep losing their balls or golfers who cannot keep track of the balls they have hit, this is a god-send. People buy different types and brands of glasses that can keep the golf ball outlined against the grass. These glasses remove light emitting from non-ball objects so that the only visible object in your line of vision is the errant ball.

Putting greens that throw balls your way and provide inputs on your strokes are must-haves with serious golfers. You may have thought that tees have become as sophisticated as possible but a new version is out these days.

This tee comes with a top surface that is made from a brush-like material. This prevents the tee from being ripped out or damaged because your club merely brushes past it instead of impacting it hard.

And the hi-tech golfers all use the scorekeeper which looks a bit like the GameBoy, but it keeps score and does all the mathematical calculations for them. You need golf wristwatch which displays your handicap. You need golf ball cleanser if you thought about re-using your golf balls by cleaning them professionally.

Perhaps your head is already spinning and your mouth drooling. Well, keep drooling because there are probably more sophisticated golf accessories hitting the market even as you read this article.

How Adults Can Start Playing The Piano Again…After Years Of Being Away From The Piano

December 18th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

There are millions of adults who took piano lessons when they were kids, and would love to start playing again, but dread the idea of starting over again and taking lessons. To see how easy it is to get started again, take a look at this blog on Piano Chords & Chord Progressions.

It’s true that you never forget certain things that you learn as a child, like riding a bicycle. Playing piano is another example. A minimum of two to three years of piano lessons is enough to instill an indelible knowledge of piano basics. That knowledge will likely be remembered throughout adulthood.

However, some adults who have been out of practice for several years may find returning to piano lessons challenging. Re-learning piano as an adult can be intimidating. Starting piano lessons again can be fulfilling though for those prepared to tackle the challenges.

One of the biggest challenges of re-learning piano as an adult is changing methods. Adults who took only a few years of piano lessons as children may have initially learned to play by rote. Playing piano by rote focuses more on memorization and mimicry than on learning to read music and understand chords.

Children tend to learn very quickly by rote. Children who learn by this method appear to progress quickly. Eventually though, as pieces get more difficult, learning tends to slow down significantly. Grasping new skills becomes increasingly difficult. This method is becoming less and less favored by piano instructors today for this reason.

Another hurdle to clear when re-learning piano as an adult is chords and theory. This is especially true if an adult took only a few years of piano lessons as a child. Adults who had five or fewer years of piano lessons likely didn’t learn chord theory. Even adults who learned to read music as children frequently have trouble grasping chords.

Learning anything (piano or otherwise) is always harder in adulthood than childhood. It’s not impossible though. Anyone with a foundation in music is at an advantage when re-learning piano as an adult.

Are you an adult trying to brush up on old piano skills or learn new ones? Here are four things to consider before you start:

1. Be willing to put aside old habits. The piano hasn’t changed since you were a child. Teaching methods may have though. Don’t discount a teaching method just because it’s different from what you’re used to. Compare different learning methods before deciding which one is best for you.

2. Be prepared to start from scratch. It will be easier for you to ease into piano lessons simply because you’re familiar with a keyboard. That doesn’t mean it won’t be challenging. Don’t expect to play a classical sonata in the first month. Take things slowly, perhaps even starting with a refresher of the basics (i.e., scales).

3. Be committed to rehearsing your songs. Remember your mother nagging you to practice as a kid? Mom’s not around now, so it’s up to you to push yourself. Piano lessons are only as good as the effort you’re willing and able to put in. Make daily practice time a priority.

4. Find the right teacher either in person or online. There are many excellent courses on the web you can take that allow you to progress at your own pace. Check out  PlayPiano.com and PianoLessonsByVideo.com. Getting the right piano instructor makes all the difference in the world. Look for a teacher who is experienced with working with adults.  He or she will then set you on the right course for re-learning.

Re-learning piano as an adult can be very rewarding. Not only will you improve your piano skills; you’ll stimulate your brain too. This will probably help you improve other areas of your life. Adults who take piano lessons often report a better ability to concentrate. Many also realize a greater aptitude for learning other new skills. These things carry over into other parts of adult life, from work, to hobbies and even raising children.

Why the Dollar is Not Money

December 18th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Few people realize that the dollar is not money and so they leave themselves open to be robbed. The dollar is a fraud that has been foisted on an unsuspecting public by governments inflating the money supply. Let me explain.

Real money has certain desirable features that allow it to function in commerce. These required features or criteria were developed over centuries of experience in trade. Time tested features of true money include -

1. It must be a medium of exchange. In other words it must be available in sufficient quantity, be easily tradable, and have only a small difference in price between buying and selling. The money should be easy to transport - which is facilitated if it has a high value to weight ratio. In some of these respects the dollar qualifies as a medium of exchange, but read on.

2. It needs to be a unit of account. The money should be capable of being divided into smaller units without damaging its value. In the case of precious metals like gold, silver, and platinum, they can be traded as bars or melted down and formed into much smaller units like coins, and if required, melted down into bars again. This is why olden day barter goods like wheat or animals are not suitable as money.

3. It must also be fungible. This means that any one unit should be identical to another of the same unit. For example two coins of the same unit should be identical in size, weight, and metallic content.

4. It helps if money is a fixed weight or measure so that it is easy to count. Paper notes for example have different face values but weigh the same, making them a poor measure.

5. Most importantly, money should be a store of value. After all, if you exchange goods or property for money you want something of equivalent value in exchange. Paper money is just pieces of paper with pictures on it and has no intrinsic worth, yet every day people exchange worthless pieces of paper for physical goods. This state of affairs has only existed in the last century and will not last much longer.

6. The value must be stable and not subject to major fluctuations, and it must be real and genuine, not an artificially created value, as with paper money.

7. In addition it should be difficult to counterfeit while still being easy to recognize. Once again paper money fails this test.

Centuries, and indeed millenia, have resulted in two metals in particular  assuming a leading role as money. These metals are gold and silver, with copper filling a minor role. Gold and Silver meet all the requirements listed above.

When gold and silver were used as money, inflation was vitually unknown. Inflation is associated with the fiat money (paper money) system that is now in place across the world. Governments print paper money (or the electronic equivalent) in steadily increasing amounts which inflates the money supply. This increased money supply pushes up the prices of the fixed amount of goods and services that are available. This is what causes inflation. Inflation is a thief which steals your wealth because the value of your cash is continually decreasing. A dollar today will only buy 5% of what a dollar could buy back in the 1920’s when the U.S. and most countries were still on a gold based monetary system.

One way to preserve wealth in inflationary times is to purchase items which are stores of value. Anything which cannot be produced in ever increasing amounts qualifies, but only gold and silver which are limited in supply, and difficult to obtain, are qualified to also act as money. Gold bullion and silver bullion, along with gold coins and silver coins are becoming increasingly scarce as investors seek to preserve their wealth in these inflationary times. Supply is diminishing while demand is increasing. Check out the prices and availability online and buy bullion while you still can. The dollar is about to be consigned to the scrap heap of history, to be replaced by real money.

How To Build A Web Site To Make Money

December 18th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Most everyone will agree, if you are going to do business on the internet, you need your own website. After all, it is with this website that you will try to make some money.  The website can be a mini-site or a full blown multi-page content site.

Determine what the topic of your website will be.  Then, decide on the strategy to use to design your site to meet your goals.  For example, if you want to build a site around earning money with Adsense, you may want to consider a content site built around article content based on the topic you will target for the Adsense income.

Maybe you have a single product to sell.  The service could be marketed using a mini-site; another word for a one page sales letter type of site.

Now get web hosting and a domain name like yoursite.com so you can install your website on the web.  Web hosting accounts vary significantly with disk space allowed, bandwith, number of supported domains, and other important considerations.  When selecting a web host, pay special attention and compare features like PHP support, MySQL database allotment, subdomains, script support and others.  Good hosting is available through hosting companies like Hostgator or Hostmonster.

Start building your website.  I prefer a good seo website builder or a Wordpress blog to build my site.  Create the page content for the site based on the niche topic you selected as your focus.  Add the content to the site based on subject keywords, with each unique page on the site focused on a specific keyword related to your topic.  As you add the content based on your main keyword, add related keywords throughout the same page that follow the same idea as your main keyword.  For example, your main keyword might be “preowned golf clubs”.  A related keyword you would add to the same page might be “used golf clubs”.

When you put together your web site, target your audience. Don’t talk about network marketing to veterinarians. They may be interested in network marketing, but they probably got to your site via a search for a pet animal product and that’s what they’re looking for.  When you know your target audience you can be sure not to write above their heads. Use words they will understand without Webster’s help. You may get by with writing a little below their level, but never above it.

Monetize the content of your seo website.  By monetizing we are adding Adsense ads or affiliate products or services to the site to make money.  Adsense ads earn money when a site visitor clicks on the ad you are publishing on your site.  Affiliate products or services are reviewed on your site to presell them.  This preselling provokes the potential buyer to investigate further by clicking your banner ad or text link.  When clicked, these ad links redirect to the merchant site to close the sale of the product or service.  You, of course, get paid when this process is successfully completed.

Some Important Website Building Tips

Don’t load your site down with slow loading banners and images. Use low-res images that have been optimized for use on the web.

Keep your fonts constant throughout your site. Variety may be the “spice of life” but can really look lousy on a web page. You can vary the size a bit, and throw in a little color, but stay conservative with the type style.

Add pictures on your site but don’t over do it.  Pictures attract attention and also make your site look good.

Highlight important selling words and phrases with bolding, italics, underlining, and color. Just don’t overdo it.

Purchases are never made on logic, but on emotion. Use copy that is designed to trigger an emotional response, such as a sense of loss; one of the strongest: “If you wait, this offer may no longer be available at this price. Get it now at this ridiculously low price, and it’s yours forever.”

Once you are online focus on driving targeted traffic to your web site.  The two main things to do for natural search engine traffic are to keep your site updated with fresh content and to add backlinks consistently.

America homeowners insurance - Selecting The Perfect Policy

December 17th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

With this article we are going to cover some of the important elements to deciding on an American home owners insurance premium. To protect your house in the event of a robbery, catastrophe or fire, home insurance cover can be sought that can help replace personal stuff. If you are a home owner, you may be offered a combined home insurance policy that protects both the building and the contents as well however this might not apply if you are in rented accommodation.

Once you actually take out some house insurance cover it’s probably best if you take stock of your home detailing all of your prized goods. One way to do this in addition to a written report is to make a video recording of all the rooms recording items that are of great value to you and if you do not own a camcorder then a camera will do the trick. This can be included with your records and will provide invaluable proof of your home and goods. Many people fail to maintain an up-to-date list for their home insurance though and forget to add new items to the list as well as taking pictures to go with that list.

Most American home insurance agencies offer home insurance quotations on the Net therefore it is easy to get a number of prices, which affords one the chance to view the best for your needs. At least One obvious plus to looking at Internet based offerings is that you could have your American home owner insurance quote in seconds. It doesn’t take that long to browse a sizeable number of insurance web sites to get quotes from all of them and see what you can get from each of them for the monthly rates they are looking for. However, the temptation is to opt for the first quotation you get but it is a good idea to do some further looking to see what they are offering and then decide on a policy that works for you.

Real Time MLM Leads Can Give You Explosive Business Growth

December 17th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

How Real Time Leads Can Change Your Business If you have ever looked into buying MLM leads online you have probably heard of ‘Real Time Leads. You have probably also noticed that they are more expensive than many of the other types of leads out there. There is a reason for that. Real Time Leads have the ability to change your MLM business.

A Real Time Lead is a form of MLM leads that allows you to know when someone has shown interest in learning about a home based business opportunity - in real time. The moment that they provide their contact information and request that someone contact them with information about a home based business you are sent their MLM lead information. I know what you’re thinking… “So What? Why is this so important?”

A real time lead is up to 100 times more likely to enroll in your opportunity if you call them right when they request information. This is when their interest in a home based business is the highest that it will ever be, and they are already in ‘buying mode.’ By calling your Real Time Lead right away you may even get in touch with them while they are still on your website. They get the feeling that they are involved and important enough for you to call them right away rather than being put off until later. “So, how does this differ from other fresh leads?”

Simply put ‘the early bird gets the worm.’ No matter how early you get to your MLM lead you are always second to the person who got there before you. In the case of home based business leads you are on the clock. For every second that passed between the time when your Real Time Lead requested to be contacted and the time that you made the call you have lost a portion of their interest. They have moved off of your site and became distracted by another thought. The rest of their life reared its head and they had to run off to do an errand to cook a meal for their children.

All of these things place your opportunity on the ‘back burner’ in their mind. Letting your opportunity lose focus also means that it loses importance in the mind of your MLM lead. No matter how fresh your lead is it isn’t going to be able to provide the instant response that a Real Time Lead can provide. Your response time can make all the difference when dealing with your home based business leads, and that is where Real Time Leads have the advantage. “What if I go away for a weekend - will I lose the leads that I paid for during that time?” This depends on the MLM Leads Company that you are dealing with but many MLM Companies allow you to ‘pause’ your leads until you reactivate your service. When you are looking for a company that provides Real Time Leads you should always look for a company that only charges you for the leads that you actually get.

If your MLM leads campaign is paused you shouldn’t be billed because leads aren’t being sent to you. If you have never used the power of a Real Time Lead to accelerate your business I would recommend that you give it a try. When it comes to MLM leads there really isn’t anything more powerful than a home business lead provided in real time. Choosing a DVD Duplicator - Some Basic Questions to Consider

December 17th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Every business is unique, so the applications and requirements for DVD copier are going to be unique. There are a variety of questions you should consider before purchasing a cd dvd duplicator. Once you answer these initial questions you will be on the right path in making an informed decision.

The first question you need to answer is what type of data do you need to duplicate? Will they be CD Audio, Video CD or DVD, or Photo CD or DVD or combinations of data types? If you are a church ministry, audio recording is the norm, and with certain duplicators this can be done while the sermon is in progress. This is also true for bands and musical groups that want to duplicate their own recordable DVDs or a live recording. These DVDs can be made “on-the-fly” with live event recorders featuring direct video input devices. Businesses and colleges that produce DVD catalogs use a combination - multi-media presentations, forms and even video. You’ll want to know the specific formats you anticipate duplicating so you can limit the duplicator models you consider to those that will support all of your required format types.

You should also try your best to estimate the number of recordable DVDs you’ll need to duplicate during some fixed time period. Be it a day, week, month or quarter, your volume requirements will play a very important role in narrowing down the universe of available models to the most appropriate ones. Certain DVD duplicating applications require very fast turnaround times for varying volumes of discs, while others have broad production windows with lots of advanced notice of the production requirement. Do you need to produce DVDs immediately after a meeting or recording session? Or do you have a longer window allowing you to mail out to customers? Short production window parameters will significantly narrow the list of appropriate duplicator models for you to choose, but if you have the luxury of long lead times, your options are fairly limitless.

What you want the physical disc to look like after it has been produced, and how it will be presented to the ultimate recipient of the disc is also important. Will you want a 4 color silk screen quality print on the surface of the disc to provide a professional look in a clear cover jewel case? Maybe you want to include your logo and some simple text, or perhaps you don’t require any identification on the disc at all. Whichever the case, you’ll want to determine your requirements in this area before you start comparing duplicator types and models.

Who will be using the machines is another factor. Are you going to be asking the office manager or department secretary to copy DVDs just like you ask him or her to make copies of your monthly activity report on the photocopier? Or perhaps you have someone with a high level of technical expertise who is going to produce the CDs for the next point release? Either way, you need to give some thought as to who the “users” will be. You don’t want to invest in a product that’s too difficult to use…and therefore isn’t, or one that’s real easy to use, but as a result doesn’t provide all of the features that the power users need.

Another important point to consider is whether or not you want to limit or maximize access to the CD DVD duplicators. Determine if your goal is to make it available to others just like any other office machine such as a fax or photocopier, or is it a tool that is better off locked where only authorized staff members can use it. Think this issue through before you make your purchase, and you’ll avoid any potential for ‘buyer’s remorse’.

Students Learn About STDs with Genital Warts Pictures

December 16th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

To get students and teenagers to learn about the danger of genital warts, there is no easier method than showing them some genital warts pictures.  Some of these pictures graphically depict genital warts and what they really look like. Although some of these genital warts pictures could disturb many people, they are probably the most efficient way to show young people what genital warts do to you.

Genital warts are very serious, and teens need to take it seriously.  One way of doing this is to educate them about genital warts and what genital warts can do to them.  However, simply stating the cold, hard facts may not be enough to convince many teens of the dangers of genital warts.  To make them really understand, educators often back up their facts about genital warts by showing teens genital warts pictures.  By actually seeing the warts and what they will do to their genitalia, teens will take genital warts much more seriously.

There’s nothing quite like seeing images of a sexually transmitted disease to really get someone’s attention, and genital warts is one of the most graphic.  But you don’t have to rely on teachers or others to show your teens images of genital warts and teach them.  You can find many images of genital warts and other STDs online along with information about what causes genital warts, how to avoid them, and how to deal with them if you end up with genital warts.

Get the Best Web Hosting Plan

December 16th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

It can be very exciting to start your own online business. The trade-off is that you will have to spend a lot of time studying if you want to make it as successful as it could be. There are many elements to the construction and implementation of an online business that you may not even have considered without the proper research, such as the type of website design that you should have, as well as which hosting package to go for.

The importance of having a site that is well-designed, looks professional and targets the right audience using the right language, cannot be over-emphasized.

The next thing you need to do is look at generating traffic through your website. The best tactic for this is through Search Engine Optimization and web marketing. You can do this by submitting your website to directories, doing keyword research and then including those keywords in your content, as well as adjusting your title tags.

Web hosting is vital if you want your own niche on the web, which makes these tips extra important.

You have a couple of choices when it comes to web hosting - you can get it for free or you can spend for it. If you want to spend for your hosting you will receive added benefits such as ad free web pages and generally a better quality of service. Alternately if you sign up for free hosting, your page will have sponsored ads on them.

Are you willing to deal with advertisements that may take too much space or would have an irritable effect on your readers? These ads are often required by free web hosting plans because it is the only reason they can continue letting people enjoy free web hosting. Another problem with free sites generally is low bandwidth and poor service.

If you don’t feel up to dealing with the stressful business of constructing and setting up your own website, we recommend you speak to a web specialist.

History of Mistletoe

December 16th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

History of Mistletoe

The mistletoe, native to the forests of Northern Europe, is a parasite implant on deciduous and evergreen trees which produces yellowish flowers and waxy white berries. Its closest relative in North America has yellowish flowers and waxy white berries, and is also commonly known as mistletoe. Notably, it is the official floral emblem of the State of Oklahoma.

The name mistletoe came about from two Anglo - Saxon words: mistel which means dung and tan which means twig. And so, mistletoe quite literally means dung on a twig. Mistletoe infers that life can spring up from dung. This leeching plant grows and thrives on the dung of birds on the branches of trees. As a result, mistletoe became the symbol of vivacity and fertility.

The Christmas and New Year tradition of embracing for the bashful and kissing for the brazen under a sprig of mistletoe dates back to olden Britain. Also, it was prevalent among the Druids who were the learned class of the Celts.

The Druids celebrated the beginning of winter ( winter solstice ) by collecting mistletoe and burning it as a sacrifice to their pagan gods. To ensure a year of good faith, peace, and familial harmony, they hung sprigs of mistletoe around their homes. Twigs of the evergreen displayed visibly outside their homes welcomed relatives, friends, neighbors and weary travelers and the mistletoe within encouraged them to embrace shamelessly. Feuding parties or foes who happened to meet under trees that contained mistletoe were required to lay aside their weapons and settle their differences.

The Druids believed that the mistletoe had healing properties. It was often prescribed for female infertility and as an antidote for poisons of all kinds. The gathering of mistletoe was a ceremony by the highest priests using gold knives. Such a carefree rite of harvesting mistletoe is dramatically portrayed in Bellinis opera Norma.

The Celtic Druids were not the only people who ascribed so many marvelous attributes to the mistletoe, the Scandinavians, who called it mistilteinn; also believed that it was the plant of peace, the plant of hope and the plant of harmony. The Scandinavian lore claims that the mistletoe belonged to Frigga, the Scandinavian star of inclination, and the embracing and kissing custom is thought to have come from this notion.

Mistletoe was also used for a decorative green in the Roman Empire during their feasts of Natalis Solis Invicti and Saturnalia. Due to its ties to idolatrous festivities, the Church banned the use of mistletoe when Christmas on December 25 was officially recognized as the birth of Christ in the the fourth century.

As an alternative to the mistletoe, the holly was ironically proposed even thought it too had strong associations with atheist rituals. Nevertheless, the hollys white flowers were to signify the purity of Christ, the acerbic leaves were to symbolize the thorns in Christs crown and the red berries as drops of His blood. Thus, the Holly became a Nativity tradition, but, surprisingly enough, the churchs ban on mistletoe which was in effect throughout the Middle Ages still persists today.

Fear Of Public Speaking, the Best Way to Get Rid of It

December 16th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Do you have nightmares about public speaking? When you have to stand up in front of a group does your mouth go dry? Hands shake? Stomach turn flip-flops? Feel lightheaded? Think you may pass out?

Welcome to the club. If it’s any comfort, you are not alone!

According to a well-known survey, 65% of us would rather die than speak in public. Many have tried for years to overcome their fear and given it up as hopeless. But wait! There is hope.

We can now turn to one tested method to end the fear of public speaking that has been shown to yield amazing results. It is The Lefkoe Method (TLM).

Probably the least known, but possibly the fastest way of getting rid of the fear of speaking in public, is The Lefkoe Method (TLM). TLM is based on the knowledge that our behavior is governed by what we believe to be true. Therefore, it focuses on finding the 10 or so negative beliefs that make us fear public speaking. These can be such beliefs as, Mistakes and failure are bad; If I make a mistake, I’ll be rejected; or People aren’t interested in what I have to say; etc.

Perhaps the most interesting feature of this approach is how consistently it works. In a study published by the Journal of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, university researchers found that on a scale of 1-10, participants who used TLM lowered their fear of public speaking from an average of 7 down to 1.5 (1 was a lack of any fear at all). It took an average 3.5 hours for participants to reach this level. In follow-up six months later, the fear had not returned. Based on this evidence, the researchers concluded that, The Lefkoe Method is an effective, quick, and convenient procedure to eliminate the fear of speaking in public.

TLM was created over 20 years ago by Morty Lefkoe, founder of The Lefkoe Institute. He and several other certified facilitators have helped over 12,000 clients rid themselves of their fear of public speaking, along with many other emotional and behavioral problems. Their Speaking Without Fear Program is offered with a money-back guarantee: if your fear is not gone in four or less one-hour telephone sessions, you’ll get a full refund. For more information visit: Fear of Public Speaking.

The Lefkoe Institute (TLI) has a money back guarantee and a 97% success rate.

Keep in mind that most people who have benefited from TLM agree that the skill of the practitioner is of the utmost importance in determining the effectiveness of the program. If you really desire to overcome your fear of public speaking, be sure you are working with someone who is highly skilled, gives you confidence in his/her ability, and makes you want to succeed. And about that money-back guarantee? Couldn’t hurt.

Choosing Effective Basement Waterproofing Solutions

December 16th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Before choosing to apply a basement waterproofing sealer from your basement waterproofing Michigan home center or, the more dramatic approach, digging up outside your home to install drain tiles, do a little homework to figure out what is causing your problem. For instance, painting your basement walls with a waterproofing paint, is not going to matter much when you have a rain gutter downspout dumping enormous volumes of water directly against your foundation. With a common-sense approach, you can fix the things that need fixing and end up with better results.

Investigate

Go outside during the next rain storm to see what is happening. Look at you rain gutters. Is water spilling over the sides? Check out where your down spouts empty to. Are they spilling out right next to your basement? Is surface water being directed toward your home. Are there low spots next to your home where water is ponding? Do you have a stream or creek nearby that may be flooding your property?

You should write down what you find during your outside inspection to help you decide later, what is the best solution for your problem.

Also consider a battery backup sump pump motor to help prevent water on the floor.

Grading

If you determined that surface water is directed towards your home or that water is laying in low spots next to your home, you will have to consider doing some outside landscaping to re-contour the property around your home.

At least several inches of your foundation should be visible above ground level. Your yard should then slope slightly away from your home to direct surface water away. If water is laying in puddles, or deeper next to your home, no basement waterproofing product or method is going to work to its full potential.

Re-grading your yard is probably a job for a professional landscaper. Besides repairing your basement water problem, you must also consider preserving the value of your home or, improving the value from a professional job well done. If you have other landscaping needs or dreams, now is a good time to consider adding them to your project. You could have a flooded basement insurance claim.

Rain Gutters

If your outside inspection revealed that your rain gutters are spilling over, they are probably clogged with leaves or other debris. Get your rain gutters cleaned out so they can direct your roof water away from your basement.

If your downspouts are dumping water next to your home, add extension pipes to direct the water at least 10 feet away. You should also consider extending underground drain pipes out to the street or down over a slope away from your home. Successful basement waterproofing is a multi-phased approach.

Humidity

If your basement problem is only a dampness issue, this requires a completely different approach. Humidity problems are common to basements because they are underground and cooler than upstairs areas. Humidity and condensation are attracted to the basement because of the cooler temperatures. The word condensation refers to the principle that warmer air volumes shrink as they enter the colder basement. When the air volume shrinks, the moisture in that air collects together and forms droplets of water. These droplets form on cold water pipes, cold basement floors and walls and are absorbed into porous concrete, carpets and furniture. This constant dampness is what helps feed unpleasant odors in the basement.

Get a good dehumidifier to mechanically remove this extra humidity from your basement. Make sure to get a deicer feature to prevent it from freezing up in the cooler lower level. A drain hose is another good feature. It will free you from having to empty the collection pan several times a day.

In Closing

Prevention is a key factor in any basement waterproofing project. The preventative tips above are all projects that will help improve the value of your home and your property. Identify your real problem before deciding on a solution.

Sciatic Discomfort - Quick Tips To Help Keep Your Sanity

December 15th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

DISCLAIMER - The information in this article is intended for your general knowledge only and is not a substitute for medical advice or treatment. Always consult a medical professional before taking action.

If you have ever suffered from Sciatica or Sciatic Nerve problems you will know how uncomfortable and painful this condition can be. Sitting to eat dinner, driving the car, even sleeping can be greatly affected by sciatic pain and unlike many other joint or muscle problems it is simply not possible to isolate and immobilize the affected area until your body has had a chance to heal itself but if you follow these couple of tips you will have the best chance at keeping your sanity!

Accurate Diagnosis of your condition - The first thing is to get an accurate diagnosis of why you are in pain. Often times sciatica is caused by muscle tension or imbalances which can directly affect the discs and vertebrae in your back which results in a irritated sciatic nerve. Other ’structural’ problems with your spine can also cause this irritation and that is why an accurate diagnosis is essential for finding the best treatment.

Heat and Cold Packs - many people report gaining relief through the use of heat and cold packs particularly where the problem lies with increased muscle tension. Alternating between both hot and cold packs on the affected area has also been reported as a good pain reliever. The hot pack promotes blood flow and can release tensed up muscles and the cold pack helps in reducing the amount of inflammation so you are getting the best of both worlds when alternating between the two.

Physiotherapy - this is something that I have not had any success with in dealing with my sciatica, however combined with the right exercises and assuming that your condition is suitable to be treated this way there is no reason not to give it a go. Many doctors see physiotherapy as the first step to easing the problem and once again the blood flow in and around the muscles and loosening of joints may be beneficial to you.

Anti Inflammatory/Pain Relieving Medication - No doubt one of the most important steps to easing your sciatic pain is to reduce any inflammation of the offending area and of course to limit your pain so you can get on with life. Unfortunately this is where the use of NSAID’s or non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs is the road most doctors take. Sure, they may ease your pain and reduce inflammation but if you had any idea of the unwanted effects these drugs can have on you I’m sure you would think twice.

Many back pain and sciatica sufferers are forced to use these drugs long term, previously myself included, as most back complaints are not easily or quickly resolved. Having visited one of Mackenzie Thorpes exhibitions last year and was thrilled at how the worlds and people he creates just link in with you completely. The images and influences of his work whether its cloud like or Japanese prints are all gathered up and made very Mackenzie Thorpe in a delightful array of colours and emotions.

Mackenzie Thorpes Exhibitions over the past few years have sold out, and he is now known for having the largest one man show ever held in the north of England. Having said that after you look at Mackenzie Thorpes pieces you don’t get any sense of premise, just an intimate take of a moment in time reflected back at you through the work of an extremely artist.

Having come from a back ground of struggle, Mackenzie Thorpe brings a scope to his pieces that really captures the dark and light tones. Born in Middlesbrough in a time of economic hardship back in 1956, Mackenzie Thorpe found school tough as he battled with dyslexia, but found an outlet through his art which enabled him to express himself, and looking at his work I’m glad he did.

Mackenzie Thorpe has a brilliant skill of embueing tension into a still moment that just makes you stare at his work for ages attempting to discover just what he was pontificating about when he decided to paint his image, I love them. If you are able have a look at Mackenzie Thorpe’s work it is something that im sure you will see as very inspiring.

Wholesaling and Flipping Strategies for Properties in Todays Real Estate Markets

December 15th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

When it comes down to real estate investing there are a lot of ways you can do but you really should never try to do it without help. You should establish a team of associates helping you assign properties. Here are some guidelines. Make sure you work with those that have expertise working with associates similar to your team.

For example, a Realtor that works with clients buying apartments when you are flipping single family properties will be probably not be a good match. Also, be sure they have knowledge working in the areas where you are investing in real estate. They preferably should also have at least 2-3 years of full time an understanding in the market you are hiring them for. Also, always gather referrals so you can expand your team using the best buyers.

After you get a home under contract, you will have control. Then you can flip it to another person at a higher price or for a flat fee so they can purchase it. This is a great no issue way to build fast money using very little cash or other banking methods. Since you have neither of these limitations you can also do several at a time making this real estate investment a good cash flow system especially once you have a steady system working for you!

The Holy Grail of Day Trading

December 15th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Sometimes, searching for the perfect strategy can lead to more losses than gains. This is what happens to traders who search for what I call the “Holy Grail of Day Trading.” This is loosely interpreted as a trading system or strategy that cannot fail. As I hope to convince you, looking for it will lead to frustration rather than success.

But, first, I should explain why I consider it the “Holy Grail.” In Christian mythology, the Holy Grail is the dish or plate that Jesus used at the Last Supper. It is said that Jesus’ blood during his crucifixion was caught in this vessel, bestowing it with miraculous powers. The search for this cup became the principle quest for the Knights of King Arthur who sought it to prove that they were the greatest knights in the world. But it was also the subject of the movie “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” in which it turns out that the Holy Grail is just an ordinary cup that only foolish, pathetic knights actually seek. Many aspiring traders devote countless hours and dollars to the quest for “The Trader’s Holy Grail,” thinking that they are Arthur’s Knights when, in fact they are more like Monty Python.

Do not delude yourself into thinking that you can find such a Holy Grail. Modern “Trading Knights” fall into the following trap:

  • They spend countless hours (and sometimes thousands of dollars) on their quest for “the perfect day trading strategy.”
  • They test any promising strategy they find only to discover that it still produces some losses.
  • Since, according to their standards, the strategy is not perfect, they continue their search for the next strategy.
  • The cycle continues, and and the quest continues without end.

In order to make money trading, eventually you will have to actually trade. And when you do, you will have losses. But remember, never think that success means eliminating all losses. Rather, success is keeping your average loss smaller than your average profit. If you can do that, you will make money, even if you just have a winning percentage of 50%.

The key is to take action on a promising strategy. Never just wait for a perfect one. If you run across a day trading strategy that seems attractive, do the following:

  1. Understand the trading strategy.
Is it a trend-following or trend-fading strategy? What is the underlying principle? Is this a strategy that you feel comfortable with and find reasonable given your goals and experience?
  2. Perform a quick assessment.
Based on the understanding that you gained, decide why the strategy should work. “Because it says so on the website” is not a valid answer. Estimate for yourself when the strategy might be successful and when it might not be.
  3. Backtest the strategy.
Get your own performance record rather than trusting someone else’s. Shortcuts on this step can lead to plenty of misinformation. Backtest the strategy on at least 40 trades to get statistically relevant results and evaluate the performance. Is the performance satisfactory for you? Will this strategy, with its approximate gains and losses, meet your goals?.
  4. Papertrade the strategy.
Test the strategy during live trading. Are the trading rules easy to understand and execute? After 40 paper trades, ask yourself the following questions: Are your results similar to the results you achieved in your backtesting? How do you feel when trading the strategy? Does it support your goals and preferences? Does it make you feel confident?

Instead of just doing a quick test on 3-4 trades, do a thorough evaluation as outlined above before jumping to the next day trading strategy. This will allow you to determine whether the strategy will actually be profitable and, just as importantly, whether it is the kind of strategy that works for you, your goals, your preferences and style of trading. And remember that every strategy will have losses. The simple appearance of losses should never be a red flag and, further, it should never be grounds by itself to abandon a strategy.

The only people who quit on a strategy because it had losses, any losses, are those day traders who imagine that they are mythical (which literally means “untrue,” by the way) Knights of King Arthur searching for the Holy Grail…when in fact they are wandering blindly on a fool’s errand.

Learn to Trade In Penny Stocks

December 14th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Because trading in penny stocks was once a profession of only the rich and the professional business environment, it is reasonable for an individual to feel overwhelmed by the possibilities of really stock trading — with real money — of any kind of stock while sitting at home at your computer.

Do not fool yourself into thinking this is a get-rich-quick opportunity. It is not. It will require work. Real work.

Finding the best penny stocks specifically can be volatile, and while there is an enormous potential in trading with penny stocks, you must also take attentive care in studying and managing your penny stock portfolio. An individual needs to tolerate and stomach risks as you push forward with your learning.

While I am still startled that changes in legislation and advancements in technology now allow you to work for ourselves in this way, you must appreciate that this is not a video game and that individuals are dealing with real currency and the potential for real losses. Individuals must also understand that successful penny stock lists can not be found exhibited for no cost on this World Wide Web.

I think individuals search for this sort of information all the time utilizing Yahoo and the like, but I’m assuring you, you’re wasting your efforts. True successful stock trades are serious money and hence a serious issue. You must work for your penny stock fortunes.

So you must expect to do your own research and I strongly suggest you consider researching professional day trading software. Steel your nerves, start studying and I wish you the greatest of good fortune in your day trading efforts.

The Best Website for Cheap Airfares

December 14th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Today, finding cheap airfare is important to almost all travelers. The best website for cheap airfares depends very much on your circumstances. There is not really one best website that covers everything. Your departure location, destination, and memberships in various groups and organizations all factor in when it comes to finding the best deal. The Internet is the place to shop around for the cheapest Southwest Airline Tickets available.

There are some comparison-shopping websites that generally make good starting places search for cheap airfares. Good examples include www.expedia.com, www.travelocity.com, and www.orbitz.com. All three access all the different airlines and allow you to compare prices for your trip if you fly at different times and with differing numbers of stops. The best Cheap Southwest Airline Tickets Prices you will find are on the Internet.

There are also different features available on these sites to help you locate cheap airfare. Both Expedia and Travelocity offer the ability to look at prices for flying on different dates. For example, if you wanted to fly out on November 20th and return on December 1st, these websites will allow you to compare prices for departure dates ranging from November 17th through November 23rd and return dates from November 28th through December 4th. This allows you to see the price advantages of traveling on non-peak days. Travelocity also offers you the option of comparing prices at surrounding airports; for example, if you wished to fly from Providence, RI to Denver, CO on December 1st, you could also get comparison prices from Boston, MA to Denver, CO. Sometimes an extra hours journey by car can shave several hundred dollars off the cost of a ticket.

Orbitz and Travelocity also offer another feature; if you know you are going to want to take a weekend trip sometime in the month of December, you can simply input that information and allow them to find the least expensive dates for you to fly. After looking at the different prices on the comparison sites, it generally pays to go to the actual website of the airlines with the best fares. Sometimes you can get the same flight for less money though the airlines website since there is no fee being charged by the booking company. There may, however, be an additional booking fee charged by the airline itself; it pays to keep an eye out for this. Still, you will get the best prices for your Southwest Flights on the Web.

If you are a member of AAA, AARP or some professional organizations, there may be special deals and discounts available if you go through the organizations sites; these are worth checking out before you make a purchase. Some credit card companies also offer special deals or cash back, although generally the airfares are not as good as those you can get through the airlines own sites. However, by examining all your options, you stand the best chance of finding the cheapest available airfare.

Home Security Tips

December 14th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Here’s a few tips for making your home more secure.

1) Lighting is your best and cheapest defence against burglaries. If a burglar can be seen it’s much more risky for them to target your house. Neighbours and passerbys could potentially see them and notify the police. Use an energy efficient compact fluorescent bulb in your front and rear porch light and leave them on all nite. You can automate this by connecting them to a timer or photocell.

2) Make sure your house is not hidden from view. At least make sure that your front door can be seen from the street. Clear away overgrown shrubbery from the front of your house. Don’t give potential burglars anything that they can use to conceal their activities.

3) Install motion sensors to light up the dark areas of your property. There’s nothing more startling to someone approaching your home to be suddenly bathed in light. Motion sensors are very cheap and can be installed easily in existing or new light outlets. They can be set to stay on for a set period of time when triggered by motion.

4) When you go on vacation, connect some lamps in your home to plugin timers. Some timers allow you to set multiple on/off events every 24 hours. Do this with 2 or 3 lamps to give the impression that someone is home in the evenings. This is especially important if someone is watching your house to determine if anybody is home. Ask your neighbour to pickup mail and newspapers every day. There’s nothing like a pile of newspapers on your front porch to tip off a burglar that you’re away.

5) Install dead bolt locks on all your doors. This is a fairly inexpensive way to secure your home. Deadbolts cannot be picked as easily as regular door locks. This is something the average homeowner can install with a minimum of tools.

Your best defence is to make sure that it appears that someone is always home, even when you’re not. For even more security consider installing a burglar alarm in your home.

How to stop acid reflux

December 13th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Has it been another one of those nights where the pain of acid reflux has kept you awake and miserable? Perhaps you are worried about going to the doctor because you fear what the treatment may be to get lasting help. Although you still need to see your doctor, there are many other things you can do to help stop acid reflux.

Your Sleeping Habits:

If you have acid reflux, don’t go to sleep right after eating. Don’t lie down on the couch and watch TV, either. You need to sit up for at least a half hour after eating, to help keep your food and the digestive acids in place. By lying down right away, the food and digestive acids are just going to come right back up your throat.
Pile up your pillows so that you are not sleeping flat on your back and can’t be woken up with acid reflux. There are special foam pillows and wedges marketed as GERD pillows or anti-snoring pillows that can help keep your head up all night. They take a few nights to get used to.

Other Practical Advice:

If you are serious about how to stop acid reflux, stop wearing tight clothes. That presses against your digestive system like a hand squeezing a tube of toothpaste.

You also need to stop smoking, as tobacco smoke irritates your entire digestive system, as well as your throat. If you ever needed an excuse to quit, this is it!

You need to cut down or eliminate alcoholic beverages, too, as this puts on weight but also irritates your digestive system. If you can’t cut them completely out, please water down your drinks. Substitute at least one drink with a cup of herbal tea.

Why A Career As A Professional Trucker?

December 13th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

Many little kids growing up see those big trucks driving down the road carrying goods such as groceries and other items to nearby stores love to use hand movements to get the drivers to honk their horns. Those movements where they act like they are pulling a chain or horn up and down. Kids really get a kick when the drivers give in and honk.

Some of those kids wonder what it would be like to driver one of those big trucks for a living. It ways it looks exciting because the driver gets to operate that heavy vehicle pulling that trailer, but there is more to being a truck driver then that. There is also a lot of waiting to drop the load and waiting to pick up a new load. Most of the time the long haul drivers only get paid for miles, so they likely do not make any money when they are just waiting. They may or may not earn a little to unload or load the trailer.

But they also enjoy some freedoms that many employees do not. A log of the drivers are even business owners instead of employees. Before they become a professional driver many go to truck driving schools to learn the skills of the trade. Then learn more on the job with a more experienced driver before being let go completely on their own.

Now truck driving schools can cost a pretty penny, from a few thousand dollars or more for a short course that can range from a few weeks to several weeks or months. If a person want to become a professional driver but can not afford going to a more traditional school they do have other options.

One such option is that of getting cdl company paid training from a nearby trucking company. These can be good or bad, so it is important to make sure one understands what they are getting into. For example just because it may seem free, there is actually a cost such as being required to work for the company for a certain amount of time.

Being a truck driver is a great career choice for many. It can allow someone to earn a nice wage without going to college for four years. On the down side to earn the better money a person will need to be gone from home several nights a week or more, which can be tough on families.

Colon Cancer - Does Wheat Bran Reduce the Risk?

December 13th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

K-State, Wichita State collaborative research studies wheat bran from different wheat varieties, effect on suppressing colon cancer

MANHATTAN — We’ve heard the conflicting information: Wheat bran can reduce the risk of colon cancer in humans; wheat bran does not reduce the risk in humans.

But which one is true?

Both, sort of.

In the mid-1990s, grain science nutritionists at Kansas State University discovered that bran from one variety of wheat actually suppressed cancer in laboratory tests, while bran from another wheat variety did not.

According to Ronald Madl, director of bioprocessing and industrial value added programs with K- State’s department of grain science and industry, the confusion set in because the resulting medical literature really did not appreciate the genetic diversity in wheat — that not all wheat bran is the same.

“As a consequence, medical literature that followed the initial work sometimes said that wheat bran did suppress cancer,” Madl said. “Other medical literature said it did not suppress cancer.”

In a cooperative effort that picked up where that previous research left off, Madl and other researchers from K-State — including Carol Klopfenstein, professor emeritus of grain science and industry, Delores Takemoto, professor of biochemistry, and Weiqun Wang, assistant professor of human nutrition — joined with John Carter, associate professor of physical therapy at Wichita State, and discovered the diversity of phytochemicals in wheat bran. They tested about 120 varieties, all with different levels of antioxidants, from very high to very low. Further studies showed wheat bran with a higher antioxidant content demonstrated a potential to suppress cancer cells.

Madl said in subsequent testing on human cancer cells, the bran from high antioxidant wheat varieties either actually killed some of the cancer cells or stopped their growth; the medium and low antioxidant varieties had less of or no effect — the cancer cells kept growing like normal.

Further testing has shown that wheat high in antioxidants demonstrated a significant suppression in both size and number of tumors, while intermediate levels of wheat antioxidants experienced an intermediate level of cancer activity.

“Since then, we have been trying to move this research to the next stage, understanding which particular compounds are responsible for this benefit,” Madl said. “Antioxidant activity is expressed by a lot of chemical compounds, but that doesn’t mean that all antioxidants express that same beneficial, biological effect. Now, we’re trying to determine which antioxidants are actually responsible for cancer suppression.”

Madl said K-State wheat breeders would like to enhance the levels of antioxidants in wheat.

“The long-term opportunity is that we could produce new wheat varieties with higher levels of antioxidants, and then carry out research to show that these varieties can reduce cancer risk,” he said.

Madl said that once researchers have determined the wheat bran varieties with enhanced levels of antioxidants, clinical studies could be considered for humans to demonstrate if wheat bran could reduce the risk of colon cancer.

Madl said K-State research is currently focused on testing methodology. Development of more rapid screening methods for antioxidants in wheat could make the screening process for wheat breeders, as well as making the wheat selection process for food processors, quicker and more feasible.

Plastic Surgery

December 12th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

A lot of the plastic surgery profession is based on dispelling a systematic and creative mythology. It is important to remind people that are considering this type of procedure that it is tremendously damaging to have a lot of unrealistic expectations for the procedure. There are plenty of women and men in their mid-40’s or older that think that a plastic surgery procedure will make them look like they are in their twenties again. Facial plastic surgery is not going to produce results that are miraculous in most cases, so having those expectations certainly do not function towards positive goals and outcomes.

One misconception about facial plastic surgery is that you are in good hands once you find a surgeon that is certified. This is simply not true. It is importnat carefully screen your doctor for even something as simple as a botox treatment. We need to be assured of the competence of a surgeon, but unfortunately there are so many loopholes in getting certification that having it does not necessarily count for a lot in the world of plastic surgery. Instead, we should consult a reputable external and objective source for information and then approach the doctor with our set of questions based on realistic expectations.

Other Considerations And Components

Facial plastic surgery patients often come into the procedure with hopes that nobody will know that they have had something done. This is a strange expectation for a lot of surgeons while others promise the desired result. On the other hand, the expectation cannot necessarily be met by a surgeon because the observation of change is something that is individual. It is entirely possible to have a complete facial overhaul and have nobody notice. It is also possible to get new glasses and rock the foundations of the universe with your decision.

The basics of facial plastic surgery is that it is still bound by the basic structure of the face. You cannot wind up looking like someone else or change the entire component structure of your face with the technology available today. You cannot change the height or width of your head or the area of the skull through plastic surgery, so there will always be some sort of fundamental base that is, categorically, you and will not be changed by plastic surgery of any kind.

Remember to always seek Professional Medical care and guidence before following any medical advise.

Website Design

December 12th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

A web site is a collection of information about a particular topic or subject. Designing a web site is defined as the arrangement and creation of web pages that in turn make up a web site. A web page consists of information for which the web site is developed. A web site might be compared to a book, where each page of the book is a web page.

There are many aspects (design concerns) in this process, and due to the rapid development of the Internet, new aspects may emerge. For non-commercial web sites, the goals may vary depending on the desired exposure and response. For typical commercial web sites, the basic aspects of web design are:

  • The content: the substance, and information on the site should be relevant to the site and should target the area of the public that the website is concerned with.
  • The usability: the site should be user-friendly, with the interface and navigation simple and reliable.
  • The appearance: the graphics and text should include a single style that flows throughout, to show consistency. The style should be professional, appealing and relevant.
  • The visibility: the site must also be easy to find via most, if not all, major search engines and advertisement media.

A web site typically consists of text and images. The first page of a web site is known as the Home page or Index. Some web sites use what is commonly called a Splash Page. Splash pages might include a welcome message, language or region selection, or disclaimer. Each web page within a web site is an HTML file which has its own URL. After each web page is created, they are typically linked together using a navigation menu composed of hyperlinks. Faster browsing speeds have led to shorter attention spans and more demanding online visitors and this has resulted in less use of Splash Pages, particularly where commercial web sites are concerned.

Once a web site is completed, it must be published or uploaded in order to be viewable to the public over the internet. This may be done using an FTP client. Once published, the web master may use a variety of techniques to increase the traffic, or hits, that the web site receives. This may include submitting the web site to a search engine such as Google or Yahoo, exchanging links with other web sites, creating affiliations with similar web sites, etc.

Multidisciplinary requirements

Web site design crosses multiple disciplines of information systems, information technology and communication design. The web site is an information system whose components are sometimes classified as front-end and back-end. The observable content (e.g. page layout, user interface, graphics, text, audio) is known as the front-end. The back-end comprises the organization and efficiency of the source code, invisible scripted functions, and the server-side components that process the output from the front-end. Depending on the size of a Web development project, it may be carried out by a multi-skilled individual (sometimes called a web master), or a project manager may oversee collaborative design between group members with specialized skills.

Keep Cozy and Comfortable Whilst Sleeping in Bed

December 12th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

No-one wants to get in to a cold bed at night, especially when it gets nearer to winter. This is why the bedding industry is full of great products to buy to keep us comfortable and warm during the night. A couple of these include the mattress topper and electric blanket.

The down mattress topper is a very useful item for providing extra padding to the top of a mattress. If you have a mattress that you find uncomfortable, a mattress topper can be ideal. It’s also a cheaper alternative to buying a brand new mattress.

There are plenty of different sizes, materials, and thicknesses of mattress toppers. Choosing any particular one will of course depend on your preference and requirements, but the better toppers are arguably the memory foam type.

Memory foam is a material that can respond to body temperature. Due to this feature, the memory foam bed topper can properly support the contours of the body and relieve pressure points. This also means proper spinal alignment.

In addition to the memory type toppers there are other materials like down and wool. Down toppers are comfortable and lightweight, and also very warm, but pay attention to stitchwork quality. You want to buy toppers that can contain the down and feathers. Wool is a good material for keeping warm and absorbing moisture. This will keep you dry and are ideal for all seasons.

Like most bedding, mattress toppers are available in all major sizes including cal king, king, queen, double and twin. You should definitely think about the thickness of the topper, especially if you opt for the memory foam type. The thickness of the memory foam dictates the pressure-relieving effects and comfort it provides.

The electric blanket is a good way to warm the bed and can even save you money on heating. Whereas you might usually keep the central heating on during the night to keep warm, an electric over blanket can work as an alternative. Some models are even available as wireless versions so you do not need to worry about the wire trapping underneath the mattress or getting tangled.

The thermostat control of electric blankets means you can set it to your preferred temperature. These items are sure to keep you warm whilst you are in your bed. Users of these items should always pay attention to the manufacturer’s instructions for safety and proper use.

Choose The Right Twin Mattress

December 11th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

There are so many mattress and bedding choices available that it can be overwhelming when you start planning to furnish or refurnish your child’s bedroom or the extra bedroom in your house. When it comes to beds and box springs, there is a wide variety of choices. When it comes to mattress quality and size, you should examine all your options so you can determine what you get.

You can choose from 5 different mattress sizes. Among these are full, twin, king and queen mattresses. The twin mattress is the smallest of the mattress sizes, but it is well suited for children and spare bedrooms. Let us see why is a twin mattress such a fine solution for children and for guest rooms.

Specification of a Twin Mattress

A twin mattress is commonly referred to as a single bed because it is designed to comfortably fit a single person rather than a couple. A standard size twin mattress measures 39 inches wide by 75 inches long, leaving it at the smallest of the available mattresses. You will have no problems finding the mattress that suits you since there is a big number of them in many styles, materials and prices.

Why Buy a Twin Mattress

Twin beds have size as their biggest strength. A twin mattress is small enough to fit in just about any size room without taking over the entire room. We do not have enough room in our spare bedrooms so we can fit the bigger bed there, but a twin bed is a different story.

Twin mattresses are also the standard size for bunk beds and trundle beds, making them the first choice for a child’s bedroom. You can place two twin mattresses in one room, in case both of your children are there, and solve a lot of problems. You can also add a mattress pad to make them warmer. Children want their independence, and giving each of them their own bed in a shared room makes them feel more independent.

Down Side of a Twin Mattress

The biggest disadvantage of these mattresses are also their main strength - the size they have. Because of its length, twin mattress is usually considered to be too short for a good night of sleep.

Give gift certificates for a sure to win present

Visa Prepaid gas Cards

Although giving cash as a gift is a wonderful way to let the recipient spend your gift in whatever way they choose, there are certainly drawbacks to giving cash. For instance, sometimes cash doesn’t feel like that much of a gift in the sense that it’s easy for people to just put it in their wallets and spend it gradually on inconsequential things. In addition, if cash is stolen or lost, it’s gone forever. Luckily there are alternatives to cash gifts.

Visa prepaid gift cards provide all the flexibility of cash presents, with many added benefits. While gift recipients spend the money as they wish, they don’t have to worry about cash getting stolen or used up without them noticing - which means your gift, present stands a better chance of being remembered. If the gift card gets lost or stolen, the owner can report it stolen and obtain another card with the remainder of the money on the card.

Prepaid gas gift cards are an excellent gift for all kinds of occasions, givers, and recipients. Just think of any affair where it’s common to give cash gifts - weddings and graduations spring to mind - and consider that a gift card is so much more secure than actual cash. But don’t be limited to only these kinds of occasions. Gift cards that aren’t only for a particular store are also great gifts for birthday presents, anniversary presents (although probably not between wives and husbands, who would prefer something a little more personal and long-lasting), and much more. They’re also an excellent option for employers to use to give their employees as end-of-year gifts, and you can buy gift cards in bulk, making them convenient for the giver as well.

These gift cards are also great substitutes for prepaid gas cards. They can be used at any gas station that accepts VISA so they make great presents for people going on a car trip or for family who used their precious fuel money to come visit you.

Getting Engaged

December 9th, 2008 by Stephen | No Comments | Filed in New Articles

One of the most exciting times in a guys life is popping the question and proposing to a girl.  It’s something that you only do once (well….sometimes more than that nowadays :) and it’s a moment girls will never forget.  Let’s go over a couple of the steps in proposing to that special somone:

First things first, you’re gonna need an engagement ring.  Don’t let this stress you out!  If you’re on a budget, it’s completely possible to find cheap engagement rings when you know what to look for.  Don’t automatically shell out the amount you see on the pricetag - do a little research and you will find how to stretch your dollar big time.  Diamond engagement rings are a big investment and this will probably be one of the biggest purchases in your life.

Make sure to read up on diamonds and how they are graded.  There’s a lot of different quality measurements that go into pricing a diamond so it’s important that you know what they are.  As an example, one of the categories that is used to grade a diamond is what is known as “clarity”.  This refers to the number of inclusions are present in the diamond (inclusions are little specks or imperfections).  However, many of these inclusions are impossible to see with the naked eye - you would only ever see them under a microscope.  You are actually better off to buy a diamond that doesn’t have perfect clarity, otherwise you will spend thousands more for a difference that you or your fiance will never be able to see.

Remember - don’t stress out!  And don’t go into the jewelry store without doing your research!  Being informed will make all the difference and will make it possible to find an affordable engagement ring.  All the best!
